Central New York Artisan Honored by National Magazine

July 2005 Wendy Meagher of Whendi's Bears Wendy Meagher has been chosen, for a second time, TOP 200 Traditional American Craftsman by Early American Life Magazine for 2004-2005 and now for 2005-2006 has been named one of the top 200 traditional craftsman in the country by Early American Life Magazine, a national publication influential in defining period style for the past 35 years.

Wendy Meagher, maker of vintage look mohair teddy bears, pandas and hares, will be listed in the magazine's printed Directory of Traditional American Crafts, which appears in the August  2004 issue. Now in its 19th year, the directory has become a source for collectors eager to  own fine handcrafted objects of timeless American design that will be valued by future generations.

Selected from among hundreds of entries nationwide, Wendy Meagher's was rated for its quality workmanship and fidelity to period design and construction techniques by judges expert in museum-quality antiques and fine, high-end reproductions.
